Wolfbreed gets a starred review in Publishers Weekly 7/13/09
Religion and political intrigue turn an adolescent werewolf into a killing machine in this compelling novel of 13th-century Northern Europe … Swann turns opposing viewpoints into sympathetic perspectives, clearly painting the complex political and religious dynamics of the time.

Congrats! Found your blog the other day and really enjoy your writing (though the only samples I’ve had thus far are from the blog). The humor, wit and elaborated upon views presented have me curious enough to look into picking up some of your works. As the author, I’d like to ask, which of your books/series is, in your opinion, the best?

Peter, my personal opinion is that WOLFBREED (which will be released Aug. 25th) is the best, but if you love space opera, then you might love his Hostile Takeover trilogy or PROPHETS, which was just released in March.

I do think the upcoming Wolfbreed is the best I’ve written. I also have a soft spot for my other historical novel The Flesh The Blood and the Fire. (You can find it in the Blood&Rust omnibus now.) I also think the Hostile Takeover Trilogy holds up pretty well.
