This month sees the omnibus re-issue of Forests of the Night and Fearful Symmetries in a single snazzy new package: The Moreau Quartet Volume One. For those of you that are worried about breaking up of the original Moreau trilogy, no worries. A) Fearful Symmetries is a direct sequel to Forests of the Night, and can be read in that order and B) The Moreau Quartet Volume Two will be following in October.
If you want to get your hands on a copy for free, I’m sponsoring a Goodreads book giveaway for the month of August:

Woot!
I’m hoping this is the excuse I need to (finally) read the old Moreau stories.

John, dude, what have you been waiting for? I was a little sad to no longer see these books in stores. I nearly missed the series myself, happening upon a book with an interesting cover back in 1993 in a downtown Tampa bookstore (Franklin Street News, rip) by the title of Specters Of The Dawn. Started reading that, and the next day after work, headed out to a Barnes and Noble and bought the first 2 books. Even though I got stranded and couldn’t get a bus home for 3 hours, it was worth it and I’d do it again. These books are just that good.

My mistake, that was 1994, shortly after I got my first job.
