I happen to have a homebrew PC on my desktop:
pc-001a
Looks cool, but was beginning to seriously feel its age. (It would slow down if you put a Vista install disk in the same room.) So I bought a new motherboard and and chip for it.

Here were prepping for surgery:
pc-004a

Opening up the patient:
pc-006a

The old motherboard (note the size of the cpu fan/heatsink on the lower right):
pc-008a

Meet the new sheriff in town (cpu fan/heatsink upper left. It’s the size of my head!):
pc-010a

The new board in place. (Booted up first try.):
pc-013a
